The Amicus Committee works to identify important cases and recruit counsel to prepare amicus briefs so that the voice of the membership is heard on legal issues pending before Illinois reviewing courts.

The Construction Law Committee offers members an opportunity to discuss, learn and publish on issues surrounding construction law.

The Events Committee is responsible for planning and implementation of a variety of IDC programs throughout the year. This committee works with the Executive Board and other committees in the planning of seminars, conferences, academies and other such programs.

The IDC Quarterly, our signature publication, is circulated to all IDC members and members of the Illinois judiciary. The members of the Editorial Board oversee the entire publication - from substantive law columns to Feature Articles to Monographs. The Insurance Law Committee is devoted to staying abreast of emerging trends and educating its members regarding insurance coverage law in Illinois and issues regarding liability, auto, and first party coverage.

The Legislative Committee identifies legislation that has a potential impact upon the substantive areas of practice of the IDC and works to support or oppose particular pieces of legislation.

The Local Government Law Committee is best suited for members whose practice focuses on the representation of local government entities, including, but not limited to cities, villages, townships, school districts, and park districts as well as their officials and employees.
